LET IT GOOO

Archery360

Archery Trade Association created a content & education hub called Archery360. The site was in need of restructuring to better ~target~ archery fans, with a special focus on beginners.

ARCHITECTURE

Content was scattered about the site, with slightly confusing hierarchy.
We needed to condense the top-level hierarchy and build more logical relationships.
All content fit into three main categories: Education, Lifestyle, and Location.

SPARKING INTEREST

Archery has been thrust into the mainstream by titles like Brave & the Hunger Games.
How can we translate this new interest into a new generation of passionate archers?
We’ve created a section that walks beginners through getting started with archery.

WALKTHROUGH

Interactive learning can empower users to take an active role in their education.
Getting users to understand the terminology is crucial to enjoying the rest of the site.
Creating specialized interactive modules was the key to making that connection.

LOCATION, LOCATION

ATA partners with archery shops and ranges all across the country.
Their goal is to get people into these locations so they can get hands-on experience.
We created a filtering mechanism to help users find exactly what they’re looking for.

SWEATING THE DETAILS

In-depth filtering to make sure archery shops have exactly what they need.
Main categories filter via AND operation. Subcategories then filter via OR operation.
I created a chart detailing the nitty-gritty of the filtering mechanism.
